S.M. Group Comprises of S.M. Denim Mills, S.M. Garments
and SMart Garment Finishing Unit. Incorporated in
1976, the Group has progressed from being largest
exporter of flannel fabrics in the world as a trading
company to being recognized as one of the leading
manufacturers of denim fabrics and garments. The
Group has an annual export volume in excess of US
$30 million. The Group has a network of offices
in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Turkey, U.A.E and U.S.A.
Leading and prominent buyers from all over the world
including Canada, USA and Europe constitute the
S.M. Group’s global clientele.
Automation
S.M. Group is a technology-driven enterprise with
a strong focus on automation. The in-house team
of IT Specialists plan, design, implement, evaluate
and control all ERP applications The Group is
in the process of integrating various business
processes to ensure a consistent flow of data
across all its functional departments. Huge investments
have also been made to successfully launch and
operate the Loom Data System in the Weaving Shed
which has been running smoothly, generating multi-efficiency
reports for in-depth analyses since the last two
years.
Health, Safety & Environment
A continuous programme of training for using the
latest machinery and equipment is on. All production
processes conform to international standards of
health, safety and meet environmental standards.
Quality Control
A quality inspection plan is always in full swing
with inspection programmes being designed, developed
and implemented to suit individual orders. We
also organize third party inspections by authorized
inspection agencies.

Board of Directors
S.M.TRADERS is a family concern. Mr Abdul Qadir
Merchant is the chairman and founder of the company.
Mr Shaheen Merchant, Managing Director, the eldest
son gave his father's vision a reality by aggressively
marketing the products all over the world. Backed
by his brother Mr Farrokh Merchant, Production Director,
who handles all fabric productions of the company
with his profound technical experience in textiles.
Mr Irfan Merchant, Garments Director, the youngest
brother runs the entire garment division successfully
with the help of a highly competent team.
New
addition to the top brass of the company is Mr
Asif Merchant, son of Mr Farrokh Merchant, who
is managing the entire Denim Division under the
expert guidance of Mr Shaheen Merchant and Operations
of Garment Division.
